Emile Chamoun-Farah, M.A.

Born in Houston, Texas, raised in both Mexico and the United States and of Lebanese heritage.

Emile Chamoun-Farah serves as the Assistant Director of Recruiting and Employer Relations in the Jones Graduate School of Business – Career Development Office. Oversees and maintains the career management platform, whose background will contribute to driving enhancements to the platform and further support employer relations. Specializing in crafting innovative training programs and cultivating meaningful connections, Emile’s expertise spans internal and external communications, data analysis, training and re-certification initiatives, internship program development, and public affairs. His results-driven and people-oriented approach ensures impactful outcomes.

A seasoned learning and development leader renowned for crafting innovative training programs and fostering meaningful connections with expertise in internal and external communications, training initiatives, and internships. Proficient in tools like Asana, Canva, and Salesforce for project management, graphic design, and data analysis, ensuring streamlined processes. Results-driven and people-orientated approach with talent for building diverse stakeholder relationships, experiential learning and public relations. Expertise in analyzing data to inform decision-making, improve training programs, enhancing employee engagement and a passion for learning and development leadership initiatives.

Emile’s academic journey includes a Bachelor’s in Retailing and Consumer Sciences from the University of Houston and a Master’s in Global Affairs from the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy at Rice University. His multicultural background and proficiency in both Spanish and English enable effective communication with diverse audiences. He is currently pursuing an Executive Doctorate of Higher Education Leadership at The University of Texas – Austin and is on track to graduate March 2026. 

Previously, Emile held the position of Internships Coordinator for Austin Community College District, overseeing over forty departments and programs. In this role, he trained and re-certified internship instructors, maintained communications with 1,300+ employers utilizing CRM software, and served on the TxCEIA Executive Board of Directors as V.P. of Marketing and Communications where he implemented a redesign of the website.

On July 2024, attended the 2024 Career Services Boot Camp by the Career Services & Employer Alliance. 

While studying he also received a Social Justice Mediation Certification from the Social Justice Mediation Institute hosted by ACC’s Peace and Conflict Studies Center. As a skillful negotiator, he was selected to participate at the Global Negotiation Conference in Zurich, Switzerland, to represent Rice University at the Institute for Global Negotiation. Emile was also selected to participate at the STaRT@Rice, Statistical Training and Research Techniques at Rice University.

He attended Equity Minded Workshop Series hosted by ACC’s Teaching & Learning Excellence Division and Professional Development for Leadership Coaching Activation at the Doerr Institute at Rice University.

Nominated and elected to become the Vice President of Marketing and Communications at the Texas Cooperative Education and Internship Association (TxCEIA). At Austin Community College District, Emile oversees the internship program across the eleven campuses while training and certifying internship instructors.

Streamlined employer outreach and recruiting at the college for internships with over 1,300+ local area employers managed, an average of 1,000 students per academic year near 100% placement rate during his tenure as internships coordinator. Emile presented his culmination of research at the TxCEIA (Texas Cooperative Education & Internship Association) 2023 Southwest Regional Conference in Fort Worth, TX.

Among a distinguished assembly of educational institutions and employers, Emile showcased a presentation that centered on his master’s thesis titled “USA-Mexico Internships”. The central theme revolved around enhancing career readiness, employability, and the unexplored potential of international experiential learning within community colleges.
